Dennison is a soybean plant that has excellent resistance to root rot, produces white flowers, and is a conventional group III variety.
Dennison is a conventional (non-transgenic) maturity group III variety with an excellent resistance to Phytophthora root rot, characterized by two major genes (Rps1k and Rps3a) and high partial resistance. It resembles Kottman in appearance but with greater yield. It has excellent lodging resistance. Dennison is rated 3.5 maturity, with black hilum, tan pods, light tawny pubescence, and white flowers, with up to 0.3% purple flowers allowed. Dennison is named for Dave Dennison, long-time field inspector for the Ohio Seed Improvement Association.
