Adaptive Treadmill Speed Control in Real TimeThe Need: In today's fitness landscape, users demand immersive and intuitive experiences from their exercise equipment. Traditional treadmills lack the ability to adapt to individual users' movements, resulting in a static and often monotonous workout experience. There is a growing need for a treadmill control system that can seamlessly adjust speed based on the user's position, providing a dynamic and engaging workout environment akin to outdoor running. The Technology: Our innovation introduces a cutting-edge treadmill control system designed to mimic the sensation of "free running" by autonomously regulating the speed of the treadmill belt in real-time. Utilizing a range sensor, the system precisely detects the user's position on the belt and categorizes it into various zones, including acceleration and deceleration zones. Speed adjustments are then calculated based on the user's zone, with greater adjustments made in zones farther from the center. To ensure smooth transitions, the system incorporates a defined delay period between speed adjustments, resulting in a fluid and natural running experience. Commercial Applications:
