Single extracellular vesicular RNA signature as biomarkers for glioblastoma detection

Problem

Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) is the most malignant form of gliomas and the most lethal primary brain tumors in adults. Current biomarkers or clinical features from tissue biopsy samples cannot distinguish glioma true progression from pseudoprogression and might not be suited to monitoring the tumor activity during the treatment. Lack of effective early diagnosis results in lost lifesaving opportunities through early treatment.
