Advanced LEO Satellite-Based Position, Navigation, and Timing SolutionsTechnology Bundle: T2025-037, T2025-053, T2025-055 The Need Current global navigation satellite systems (GNSS) face significant challenges, including signal vulnerability to interference, limited coverage in urban and remote areas, and insufficient accuracy for high-precision applications. There is a critical need for more robust, accurate, and reliable positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT) solutions to support the growing demands of autonomous systems, IoT, and other advanced technologies.
The Technology Technology developed by OSU researchers leverages low Earth orbit (LEO) satellites for enhanced PNT services. By modeling and compensating for timing and spatial ephemeris errors, and utilizing signals of opportunity (SOPs) from LEO satellites, we achieve unprecedented accuracy and reliability in navigation. This technology bundle includes advanced algorithms for blind beacon estimation, carrier phase and Doppler tracking, and real-time error correction, all powerful tools for modern PNT applications.
